Every molecule, explained.
Opus Magnum Ghost is built on a shared molecular foundation. Every variant contains the same DNA — Iso E Super, Ambroxan, Hedione — tuned to different distances, occasions, and intensities.
The molecule perfumers call "the ghost." A velvety, transparent woody-amber aroma chemical that integrates with your skin chemistry so completely that your brain stops distinguishing it from your own scent. Log P 5.65 — extremely lipophilic.
Synthetic ambergris molecule. Activates the OR7A17 olfactory receptor, creating warm, salty, mineral-amber — perceived as natural body warmth. Present in every OMG variant as the molecular bridge.
Methyl dihydrojasmonate. The radiance engine — projects scent into the space around you. A 2015 NeuroImage study found it activates the human pheromone receptor VN1R1.
The real musk molecule. Body-heat activated — vapor pressure increases ~1.5x during arousal. Used in Aftermath.
Warm cashmere quality. The tactile warmth in Intimacy. Used within IFRA Category 4 limits.
Synthetic civet musk. The raw, feral depth in Animal. Warm body, not perfume.
Firmenich captive molecule. Dense, creamy wood — reliable structural backbone in Predator and Euphoria.
